HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2024 HARVEST
Resilient & bountiful Harvest
Despite early challenges such as frost and high mildew pressure, we are grateful to have achieved strong yields. However, we are mindful that many Provençal wineries experienced significant losses, with reductions of up to 40%. While we are fortunate that our harvest flourished, our thoughts are with those who have faced such difficulties.
A balanced season
With 150 to 200mm more rainfall than last year, our vines benefited from a healthier water balance and experienced less hydric stress. This has led to better grape quality and a promising outlook for the 2024 AIX Rosé.
Promise for future vintages
The even and consistent flowering throughout the season, particularly during critical periods, has set the stage for a strong reserve of nutrients for 2025. This year's conditions have laid the groundwork for robust vines and excellent yields in the future.
Summer heatwaves & perfect maturation
Although this summer experienced heat, the heatwave was shorter than in 2023. These favorable conditions allowed our Syrah grapes to reach a remarkable level of maturity, resulting in an unparalleled balance and flavor profile for our wine.
Dedication in the vineyard
From manual hoeing to investments in new tractors, grape-picking machinery, and soil-working equipment, our team has taken every measure to ensure that the grapes are harvested under optimal conditions. This dedication will be reflected in the quality of every bottle.
BEHIND THE SCENE : OUR TEAM AT WORK
This year was not just about the harvest; it was also about our people and the incredible work that goes into every step of the winemaking process. We'd like to highlight the efforts of our vineyard team, who dedicated their days and nights to ensure the perfect maturation and quality of the grapes
FROM VINE TO GLASS: THE HARVEST JOURNEY
Each morning before sunrise, our harvest team worked tirelessly to pick the grapes at their peak freshness. This meticulous harvest sets the stage for the attentive winemaking process that follows. Once carefully gathered, the grapes make their way to our cellar, where the magic continues with a gentle fermentation process at low temperatures, preserving the delicate aromas and flavors that make AIX Rosé so unique. We eagerly await the opportunity to share the fruits of this passionate work with you when the 2024 vintage is released next spring.
Stay tuned for the official release in Spring 2025 !
